FALLS CHURCH, VA-The Association of Health Insurance Advisors (AHIA), the official health conference of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) would like to announce this year's EduCall Series.
EduCalls are educational calls, in which agents call in and listen to health related issues in the comfort of their own office. This year's series starts October 18. Enjoy a legislative forecast sponsored by Brokerage Concepts. Hear Congressman Bobby Jindal (R-LA) and Joy Johnson Wilson- National Conference of State Legislatures Federal Affairs Counsel and Health Policy Director discuss current federal and state proposals. Discover the status and fate of legislative issues presented in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
November 15 is a Medicare call titled "Get the Facts about Medicare Reform," and sponsored by Mutual of Omaha and GE/Genworth. Notwithstanding the new Medicare Part D drug benefit, effective this November, there will be gaps in government coverage, and the smart agent will want to learn this very timely information. Presented in part by the senior leadership of the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Solving the Long Term Care Insurance Puzzle is the scheduled call for February 7. Sponsored by Prudential Financial Long Term Care, MetLife Long Term Care and MedAmerica Insurance Company, agents will experience a LTC Insurance sale with a twist by learning all new concepts.
On April 11, agents will be informed on the latest DI Market Trends and Sales Strategies. Sponsored by Principal Financial Group, this call will feature four perspectives on the latest industry trends in the DI marketplace. Agents will hear insurance carrier, Brokerage GA, multi-life producer and individual perspective on how to be successful in selling disability.
On May 9, Ron Iverson and Brian Thompson will discuss how to "Add a New Dimension to Your Benefits Planning Practice." This call is sponsored by Bankers Fidelity Life.
The last call of the series is to be held on June 20. It will be agents' legislative update on "What Can We Expect After the 4th?" Sponsored by Brokerage Concepts, hear congressional experts discuss viable health legislative proposals and which bills stand a chance after the July Recess.
